Role Summary:
As a Door-to-Door Canvasser at Lonestar Solar Services, you will play a vital role in our outreach efforts, engaging directly with homeowners in your designated area. Your primary responsibility will be to generate interest in solar energy, gather leads, schedule appointments for our sales team, and help convert those leads into satisfied customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with Homeowners: Knock on doors and initiate conversations about the benefits of solar energy and how Lonestar Solar Services can meet their energy needs.
- Educate and Inform: Share clear, accurate information with potential customers about the advantages of switching to solar power, including cost savings and environmental benefits.
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads, ensuring they meet the criteria for our solar solutions.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule appointments for our sales team to conduct in-depth consultations with interested homeowners.
- Reporting: Track and report daily activities, including the number of doors knocked, leads generated, and appointments booked.
- Support Sales Team: Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of leads and assist in closing sales.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage homeowners.
- Motivation and Energy: High level of enthusiasm and motivation, with a positive attitude toward meeting new people and overcoming challenges.
- Independence: Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle rejection with resilience.
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or canvassing is preferred but not required.

Compensation:
This is a commission-only position, offering substantial earning potential based on performance. Compensation is directly tied to the number of appointments booked and leads converted into sales. There is no base salary, hourly pay, or benefits associated with this role.
Work Environment and Schedule:
- Field-Based Role: Frequent travel within designated neighborhoods.
- Flexible Hours: Expectation to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to maximize homeowner engagement.
- Physical Demands: This role involves significant walking and standing, as well as outdoor work in various weather conditions.
