Role Summary:

As a Door-to-Door Canvasser at Lonestar Solar Services, you will be an essential part of our outreach team, engaging directly with homeowners in your designated area. Your primary responsibility will be to spark interest in solar energy, generate leads, schedule appointments for our sales team, and help convert those leads into satisfied customers. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on personal interaction, are motivated by results, and want to contribute to the growth of renewable energy in Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Homeowners: Knock on doors to initiate conversations about the benefits of solar energy and how Lonestar Solar Services can meet their needs.
  • Educate and Inform: Provide potential customers with clear, accurate information about the advantages of switching to solar power, including cost savings and environmental benefits.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads, ensuring they meet the criteria for our solar solutions.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Secure appointments for our sales team to conduct in-depth consultations with interested homeowners.
  • Reporting: Track and report on daily activities, including the number of doors knocked, leads generated, and appointments booked.
  • Support Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth handoff of leads and assist in closing sales.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage homeowners effectively.
  • Motivation and Energy: High level of enthusiasm and motivation, with a positive attitude towards meeting new people and overcoming challenges.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle rejection with resilience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or canvassing is preferred but not required.
  • Solar Knowledge: A basic understanding of solar energy is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.

Performance Metrics:

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • The number of doors knocked daily.
  • The number of qualified leads generated.
  • The number of appointments successfully scheduled.
  • The impact of your efforts on the overall sales conversion rates.

Compensation:

This position is commission-only, offering substantial earning potential based on performance. Compensation is directly tied to the number of appointments booked and leads that convert into sales. There is no base salary, hourly pay, or benefits associated with this role.

Work Environment and Schedule:

  • Field-Based Role: Frequent travel within designated neighborhoods.
  • Flexible Hours: Expectation to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to maximize homeowner engagement.
  • Physical Demands: This role involves a significant amount of walking and standing, as well as outdoor work in various weather conditions.
